Edelweiss and Marvelous have announced Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation, a spin-off of the hit action and farm simulation game, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. The spin-off follows Kokorowa after she meets a peculiar automaton named Takebina. Meet new gods and tackle this new adventure as Sakuna’s friend, Princess Kokorowa!

Sakuna Chronicles: Kokorowa and the Gears of Creation is currently in development. Platforms and a release timeframe have not been announced at this time. If you’re interested in the game, you can check out its official website and follow XSEED Games and Edelweiss on their official X accounts.

Ys X: Nordics, the latest entry chronicling the adventures of Adol Christin, is now available in North America and Europe on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG).

Ys X is available both physically and digitally. A physical limited edition for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch is available via NIS America’s Online Store. The limited edition costs $104.99 and comes with a physical copy of the game, a mini soundtrack, mini art book, a sling bag, a metal pin, and a postcard set.

Travelling across the world map as they embark on their epic journey, players can suppress rebellions or choose to rescue government forces during “Missions”, overcome “Skirmishes”, and visit various locations where they will be able to buy weapons. Throughout their quest, players will also encounter a variety of characters familiar to the DYNASTY WARRIORS franchise, such as Cao Cao and Liu Bei. Depending on the bond forged, these characters can become travelling companions, or an enemy. Battles in DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS will require players to be more strategic than ever before. A variety of “Tactics” can be used to command their allies and coordinate forces. By gathering a large number of soldiers under their command, fans will also be able to form a “Large Force” which they can lead by deploying “Grand Tactics” maneuvers. This will allow players to radically change the course of a battle. However, users will need to keep an eye on their opponents, who will also be able to form a “Large Force” and will try to deploy their own “Grand Tactics” to win. In 1 vs. 1,000 combat, players will have to master and alternate between swift and powerful attacks that can break an opponent’s guard. Repeated attacks will increase the protagonist’s “Bravery”, enabling them to use powerful and unique attacks called “Arts”. These “Arts” will be unique to each weapon, so it will be crucial for players to master the various arsenal at their disposal, allowing the protagonist to gain “Rank” and thus improving their skills. Not only will players have to master the protagonist’s various attacks if they want to emerge victorious on the battlefield, but they will also have to strengthen their defense. By blocking enemy attacks at the right moment, they can unleash a powerful riposte, “Parry”, which creates a breach in the enemy’s defense. Some attacks cannot be blocked, so players will have to dodge them before counterattacking. Finally, players will sometimes encounter powerful officers protected by an energy called “Resolution”. Players will have to work on reducing this “Resolution” to weaken them before they can launch a powerful “Assault” attack which can sometimes be the decisive coup de grâce.

A brand new trailer has been released for the Netflix animated adaptation of Devil May Cry. The series comes from the mind of Adi Shankar, known for his work on the Netflix Castlevania animated series, and Studio Mir animates the project.

Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice actor behind Nero in the Devil May Cry video games, voices Dante in the animated series. Reuben Langdon, Dante’s voice actor in most of the video games, was quick to congratulate Johnny and mentioned Johnny was already part of the DMC family.

Devil May Cry is set to premiere on Netflix in April 2025. It is an adaptation of the popular series of hack-and-slash video games of the same name by Capcom.

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Freedom Wars, Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a remaster titled FREEDOM WARS REMASTERED. It will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on January 10th, 2025. The original game was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment’s Japan Studio alongside Shift and Dimps for PlayStation Vita and launched in 2014.

At Aniplex Online Fest 2024, Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online II received a new trailer and unveiled a second key visual (English version shown above). It is scheduled to start airing on October 4th, 2024 in Japan.

Dragami Games has announced that LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP is now available digitally for players in North America, Central and South America, and Europe on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP is a remaster of LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW which originally launched for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and was a collaborative effort between Suda51 and James Gunn.

The remaster is developed by Dragami Games and produced by Yoshimi Yasuda. Its features are described as follows:

• Quality of Life Improvements
• The resolution of the game has been increased to full HD, and load times have been greatly
  shortened.
• The chainsaw action has been sped up with the introduction of the Chained Hits Hunting system, in
  which chaining multiple hits in succession increases the player’s attack speed.
• The input timings for Combo Actions have been adjusted, to better fit players’ expectations.
• Chainsaw Blaster action has been improved with the addition of auto-lock and auto-fire modes

The wait is over, the English release of Ren Dystopia is here. DATE A LIVE fans have been eating good lately. The fourth and fifth seasons are tremendous, the Kurumi spin-off was remarkable. In addition to that, just a couple years ago we got the localization triple pack of the visual novels. It’s truly a franchise that passed the test of the time and it’s not done yet. Ren Dystopia is the fourth visual novel in the franchise following the story of the mysterious spirit Ren. Synopsis will be posted below. This is a sequel to the first three visual novels in the Rio Reincarnation pack so please check that out first before playing this one. Following the transformation and inversion caused by Origami, Shido manages to reshape the world to protect it, eventually sealing Origami.

Enemies may still lurk about, but Shido and his friends savor the peace they’ve secured through their ordeals.

After an ordinary evening spent among friends, Shido has an unusual dream. He hears a mysterious voice calling out from the shadows.

Upon waking up the next morning, Shido discovers a peculiar container adorned with a snake pattern under his pillow.

Thinking it might be a prank, Shido asks around for the container’s owner. But when they try to open it…

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land takes players on a journey exploring the theme of memory. Playing as Yumia Liessfeldt, a young alchemist who lost her mother in an accident when she was young, players set out to uncover the forbidden art of alchemy while also learning the true intentions of Yumia’s mother who hid her identity as an alchemist. Along the way, Yumia joins the Aladiss Research Team where she meets Vikto von Duerer and his younger sister, Isla von Duerer. There, they are also joined by an assorted cast of characters including a mysterious woman, a timid demi-human, and a former adventurer with spectacular experiences.

Together, Yumia and her companions will travel across the vast continent that was once the Aladissian Empire, where all civilization has perished. Players will have a wide range of actions and items at their disposal throughout the adventure, allowing them to explore a vast open world made up of different biomes as they make their way through these unknown lands gathering materials that can be used to synthesize and craft new items for use in their quest – both during exploration and combat. Not only will fans be able to craft items without having to return to their base thanks to the “Simple Synthesis” feature, but for the first time in the series, fans will be also able to build, furnish, and decorate their own base with the all-new “Building” feature!

To help make Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land come alive, KOEI TECMO and developer Gust have teamed up with the brilliant artist Benitama to create the main visual and all of the character designs. Specializing in creating illustrations and character designs for various fantasy game titles, Benitama incorporates references to paintings and reliefs in his work while striving to balance both persuasive depth and cuteness. His design, characterized by a monochrome based style, give a cool impression while bringing out the charm of the Atelier series.

In celebration of this huge milestone, a Nintendo Switch version has been announced. It is scheduled to launch on October 17, 2024, and pre-orders are open now.

Eternights is an indie title that blends dating simulation elements with hack ‘n’ slash gameplay. The game is described by the developer as follows:

During the August 27, 2024 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, some exciting news was revealed for fans of Nihon Falcom’s Trails series. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st, a full 3D remake of the first game in the long-running Trails series, has been announced. The game is currently confirmed for Nintendo Switch. 

While the remake only received a couple seconds of screen time in the Nintendo of America Direct, the Japanese Nintendo Direct showcased an almost minute long trailer for the game. You can check out that trailer below. Based on the trailer, it appears the remake will utilize a battle system similar to the one used in Trails through Daybreak.

In addition to the trailer, Nintendo released English screenshots for the highly anticipated remake. You can check those out below.

As pointed out by James Galizio of RPG Site, Trails in the Sky the 1st appears to be using XSEED’s translation of the original as a foundation for the remake. It should be noted that this does not confirm whether or not a specific publisher is working on the game. As of this moment, no publisher has announced they are working on the game.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st is scheduled to launch in 2025 for Nintendo Switch. More information on the game, such as additional platforms and the publisher, will be announced at a later time.

Episode Aigis -The Answer- is the final content release for the game’s Expansion Pass. It has been announced that Fate/stay night REMASTERED, Fate/hollow ataraxia REMASTERED, and Fate/EXTRA Record will be getting new releases. With the remaster of the original visual novel set for this week. The Fate stay night remaster will feature three language options of Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and English. The other two games will be getting released at a later time. Trailers for each of the games have also been released.

Fate/stay night Remastered will release on August 8. Fate/hollow ataraxia Remastered does not have a date at the moment. Both will get a release on Steam and Switch. Fate/EXTRA Record will release next year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, and Switch.

It’s been a great year for DATE A LIVE fans, and it gets even better with Ren Dystopia. After being blessed with the Rio Reincarnation collection, Ren Dystopia is finally coming to the west. So what’s DATE A LIVE: Ren Dystopia about?

A newly emergent spirit named Natsumi ends up in the crosshairs of Deus Ex Machina Industry. Shido defends Natsumi from Deus Ex Machina Industry and manages to seal her powers.

Following the transformation and inversion caused by Origami, Shido manages to reshape the world to protect it, eventually sealing Origami.

Enemies may still lurk about, but Shido and his friends savor the peace they’ve secured through their ordeals.

After an ordinary evening spent among friends, Shido has an unusual dream. He hears a mysterious voice calling out from the shadows.

Upon waking up the next morning, Shido discovers a peculiar container adorned with a snake pattern under his pillow.

Thinking it might be a prank, Shido asks around for the container’s owner. But when they try to open it…
