The Thunderful World Digital Showcase on November 10th was led by SteamWorld Headhunter. The Thunderful Games event featured a total of 16 different games in all. Their goal was to unveil exciting new titles in their lineup and to provide updates on previously announced ones.
SteamWorld Headhunter is a colorful and stylized third-person cooperative adventure. However, there is of course a “head-popping” twist! The game aims to maintain the style the series is known for while transitioning into the realm of 3D games.
The new press release highlights six of the 16 games from the showcase. The second one is the Xbox/Windows Store exclusive, The Gunk. It will launch on December 16th, and it will be on Xbox Game Pass. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
“The Gunk is a third-person sci-fi exploration adventure about a duo of gritty space haulers, Rani and Becks, struggling to make a buck as they chance upon a mysterious planet laden with a wealth of natural resources. While cashing in on the planet’s seemingly bountiful riches, they encounter the gunk and realise its detrimental effect on the planet, creating a moral dilemma for the duo.”
Wavetale is already on Stadia and is coming to PC and Consoles in 2022. The third-person action-adventure features a heart-warming story and stirring soundtrack with hand-drawn visuals.
“Explore an open sea and the decaying archipelago of Strandville as you take control of Sigrid, a young girl who befriends a mysterious shadow that provides her with the power to walk on water. Speed through the waves, swing yourself from housetops with your net, and defeat an old nemesis to save the citizens of the islands, all with a bit of help from the shadows down below—and your cranky grandmother.”
Coming to PC, Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 5 on December 7th is White Shadows. It’s a cinematic 2.5D puzzle platformer with monochromatic visual stylings. Follow the story of Ravengirl as she tries to escape the dystopian White City!

From Regular Studio comes Togges, a 3D platformer where players need to spread and stack adorable cubes known as Togges. Combine their colors and abilities to solve puzzles and make your way through the world. You’ll also need to interact with the denizens of this world.

The press release rounds things out with Cursed to Golf, a golf-like adventure. This one is coming to PC and consoles sometime in 2022. You are a Golf Champion trapped in Golf Purgatory after you were halted by an unfortunate lightning strike! If you want to make it back to the world of the living, you’ll have to overcome 18 “dungeon-like holes”.
