File this one under “Things I Didn’t Know Were Still Relevant.” It appears as though Nintendo and die-cast toy car company Hot Wheels are partnering for the Super Mario 30th anniversary with a line of toys based on some of the plumber’s most famous games. The line features six Nintendo-fied versions of Hot Wheels’ classic models, listed below:
- 8 Crate Delivery (Dr. Mario)
- A-OK (Mario Kart)
- Cool-One (Super Mario Bros. 2)
- Dairy Delivery (Super Mario Bros.)
- School Busted (Super Mario 3)
- Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus (Super Mario World)
I’m going to be honest, I can’t really tell you one car from another, but I absolutely love the implications of Dr. Mario’s car looking suspiciously like a hearse. The cars are set to hit store shelves this October.
